Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate transport infrastructure projects from initial planning stages through to completion.
• Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Track and evaluate project performance metrics, expenses, risks, and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Prepare necessary documentation, reports, and maintain clear client communication.
• Supervise subcontractors and suppliers to meet project specifications and timelines.
• Assist in procurement processes including quotation assessment, tender management, and contract administration.
• Build and nurture productive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and operational personnel.
• Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and continuous process improvement.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years experience in project engineering, preferably within transport, roadworks, or civil infrastructure sectors.
• In-depth understanding of project delivery approaches and contract management practices.
• Familiarity with NZTA/Waka Kotahi transport infrastructure standards is highly advantageous.
• Excellent skills in planning, coordination, and problem resolution.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Dedicated to upholding safety, quality, and operational excellence.
