Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate transport infrastructure projects from initial planning stages through to completion.
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Track and evaluate project performance metrics, expenses, risks, and quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Prepare necessary documentation, reports, and maintain clear client communication.
- Supervise subcontractors and suppliers to meet project specifications and timelines.
- Assist in procurement processes including quotation assessment, tender management, and contract administration.
- Build and nurture productive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and operational personnel.
- Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and continuous process improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years experience in project engineering, preferably within transport, roadworks, or civil infrastructure sectors.
- In-depth understanding of project delivery approaches and contract management practices.
- Familiarity with NZTA/Waka Kotahi transport infrastructure standards is highly advantageous.
- Excellent skills in planning, coordination, and problem resolution.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Dedicated to upholding safety, quality, and operational excellence.
