Project Engineer – Electrical / E&I

About the Role

A prominent company in the Offshore Oil & Gas EPC sector is seeking a skilled Project Engineer specializing in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) to be based in the United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in project planning, including scheduling and resource planning specific to Electrical & Instrumentation activities.
• Develop and evaluate Material Take-Offs (MTOs), technical documents, construction methods, and related method statements.
• Facilitate coordination among multiple engineering disciplines such as electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, structural, and piping.
• Examine and verify technical deliverables like Single Line Diagrams, Loop Drawings, hook-up Drawings, cable schedules, layouts, and vendor documentation.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to review vendor documents, support Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT), and oversee material deliveries.
• Provide support during offshore installation, testing phases, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and system start-up of electrical and instrumentation components.
• Ensure all activities comply with ADNOC standards, international codes, project quality guidelines, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering is essential.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in the GCC region, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Hands-on experience with E&I construction, installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Comprehensive knowledge of offshore electrical and instrumentation systems, as well as familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, API, and ISO.
• Experience working on ADNOC Offshore projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Microsoft Office, and preparing project documentation.
