About the Role
This is a 12-month contract opportunity based in Mississauga, Ontario, near the airport, requiring full-time in-office presence five days per week. The Project Coordinator will facilitate cross-departmental project execution focused on introducing new products. Candidates with experience in both hardware platforms and software integration for product launches are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Service, and other departments to convert product strategies into actionable project plans within the New Product Development (NPD) framework.
- Establish stakeholder alignment by effectively communicating project milestones, risks, deliverables, and status updates during the project lifecycle.
- Maintain process discipline and accountability throughout planning, execution, monitoring, and the successful delivery of projects.
- Create and update project plans and status reports; coordinate project resources and cross-functional teams to perform quality analysis, manage beta testing plans, track defects and resolutions, compile final documentation and training materials, and coordinate launch plans.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
- Working knowledge of hardware and/or software development processes.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an advantage.
- Experience with waterfall and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with multiple stakeholders effectively.
Additional Information
This position offers an hourly contract rate of $40 to $45 for consultants operating under an incorporated business, based on a 40-hour work week. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply with a resume for further communication about next steps.
