Role Overview

This position is situated within a collaborative team at Allegion's advanced facility in Rosebank Road, Avondale. The Product Development Engineer will oversee new product development and sustaining engineering projects from initial concept through to successful completion. This role demands cross-departmental engagement, working closely with sales, product management, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to deliver innovative and high-quality hardware solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and direct engineering project activities to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and quality-compliant product delivery.
• Foster effective collaboration among varied departments to guarantee streamlined communications and coordinated efforts throughout the development lifecycle.
• Diagnose technical challenges, execute comprehensive analyses, and implement design enhancements that boost product functionality and cost-effectiveness.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of seven years’ engineering experience, ideally within a manufacturing setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant product development field.
• Demonstrated expertise in planning, time management, and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Proactive leadership in driving improvements through enhanced systems and processes.
