Role Overview

This is a full-time role based in Harare, centered on overseeing the entire procurement cycle. Responsibilities include preparing and managing purchase orders, sourcing required goods and services, maintaining detailed procurement documentation, and assessing suppliers to ensure quality and reliability. The specialist will negotiate contracts and pricing, ensure regulatory and company policy compliance, and liaise with internal departments to align procurement activities with operational needs and schedules. Continuous enhancement of procurement workflows and supplier relations is also expected.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in procurement functions including purchase order management and vendor relations.
• Experienced in supplier evaluation covering performance, quality, and dependability metrics.
• Skilled negotiator capable of handling contract terms, pricing agreements, and service level discussions.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret procurement data, detect patterns, and facilitate cost optimization.
• Holder of a degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, or related disciplines is preferred.
• Possession of professional procurement certifications such as CIPS or its equivalent is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on confidentiality and detail.
