Role Summary
BEC Arabia seeks a meticulous Procurement Coordinator based in Riyadh to manage the procurement of materials and services for major construction and infrastructure developments across Saudi Arabia. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets, supporting Saudi Vision 2030 ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire procurement lifecycle: sourcing, vendor selection, negotiations, and contract administration.
- Forge and sustain relationships with both domestic and international suppliers ensuring cost-efficiency and reliability.
- Coordinate procurement timelines to align with project schedules, preventing delays in deliveries.
- Ensure all procurement practices comply with Saudi Labor Law, GOSI, and any other relevant regulations.
- Generate and dispatch purchase orders, RFQs, and RFPs according to company policies.
- Assess supplier proposals against technical specs, quality criteria, and financial constraints.
- Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to determine procurement requirements and priorities.
- Keep comprehensive records of procurement documents including contracts, invoices, and delivery timelines.
- Address procurement-related challenges promptly, such as delays or product quality issues.
- Monitor market conditions and pricing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Support the adoption and use of digital procurement platforms to improve efficiency and transparency.
- Compile procurement performance reports with insights and recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- At least three years’ procurement experience, preferably within construction or engineering sectors.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle and procurement-related software tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of Saudi Labor Law, GOSI, and pertinent regulations.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, notably Excel and Word.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills considered a strong plus.
Preferred Credentials
- Holds certifications such as CIPS or CSCP.
- Hands-on experience with mega-projects or government clients within Saudi Arabia.
- Knowledge of ARAMCO approved vendor procedures.
- Advanced expertise in digital procurement technologies and data analytics.
- Possession of a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related disciplines.
Work Environment
- The role is office-based in Riyadh with occasional site visits.
- Standard work hours with potential overtime during critical project periods.
- Minimal travel primarily within Saudi Arabia.
