About the Role
This opportunity suits a meticulous podcast editor who is passionate about narrative and sound production. You will work on episodes centered around millennial life experiences, including topics like dating, family, work, and health. Each episode lasts between 40 to 60 minutes and incorporates footage from one to three cameras. Operating remotely, this role provides flexibility and the chance to creatively contribute to a show that engages a broad audience. Your editorial expertise will enhance the overall episode quality, allowing the host to dedicate more energy to content creation and engaging listeners.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit podcast episodes involving both audio and video using DaVinci Resolve, ensuring seamless transitions and professional sound quality.
- Perform fundamental color grading on video clips to produce a refined and uniform visual style.
- Handle multiple camera source synchronization to align audio and video flawlessly.
- Produce final episode versions in specified formats adhering to deadlines.
- Work collaboratively with the host to integrate feedback and uphold the podcast's desired tone and style.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in DaVinci Resolve for comprehensive audio and video editing tasks.
- Prior experience editing podcasts or similarly extended media content.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a capability to produce polished, engaging audio/video edits.
- Basic ability in color grading for video content enhancement.
- Competence in managing multiple camera angles and synchronizing audio with video effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and openness to constructive feedback.
- Dependable internet connectivity and capability to perform consistently in a remote work setting.
