Platform Engineer - AWS, CI/CD, Jenkins

Overview

We are seeking a proficient Platform Engineer specializing in CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure management, and deployment troubleshooting. The role demands expertise in Terraform, AWS services including EKS and ECS, automation scripting, and implementation of Blue-Green deployment strategies using Jenkins for seamless releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain scalable continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines leveraging Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Implement Blue-Green deployment with Jenkins to facilitate zero-downtime application releases.
• Diagnose and resolve build failures, deployment challenges, and pipeline performance issues across diverse environments.
• Collaborate effectively with development, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams to pinpoint root causes and introduce durable solutions.
• Incorporate static code analysis, security scanning, and automated testing seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines.
• Optimize integration and deployment workflows in conjunction with developers.
• Manage infrastructure provisioning and maintenance via Terraform and AWS platforms, including EKS and ECS clusters.
• Apply best practices regarding version control, branching approaches, and release management.
• Ensure adherence to security protocols and governance standards throughout CI/CD processes.
• Create thorough documentation and provide training sessions on CI/CD tools and operational procedures for development teams.
• Continuously monitor infrastructure and pipeline health employing monitoring tools such as Kibana and AWS CloudWatch.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts utilizing Bash and Python to enhance operational efficiencies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated experience in CI/CD, DevOps, or Platform Engineering roles, with a strong practical background.
• Advanced proficiency using Terraform and AWS services with emphasis on EKS and ECS management.
• Skilled in scripting languages, specifically Bash and Python, for automation tasks.
• Experienced with Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git-based development workflows.
• Familiar with monitoring solutions including Kibana and CloudWatch for infrastructure observability.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD methodologies, security measures, and compliance requisites.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication capabilities.

Additional Information

• Position requires working in rotational shifts, which include nights and weekends.
• Job location is fixed at Chennai, India.
• Shift schedule options include 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM IST and 10:30 PM IST timings.
• Candidates should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.
