Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our supportive and dynamic team, serving both Musculoskeletal (MSK) and Breast Care services. This role involves delivering high-quality, patient-focused physiotherapy support, working closely with Physiotherapists and other multidisciplinary professionals. You will manage delegated patient care tasks independently within the agreed competencies, assisting with rehabilitation programs, exercise guidance, patient education, and pre- and post-operative recovery processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement delegated physiotherapy treatments under supervision of registered Physiotherapists.
  • Assist with assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with diverse musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Manage care pathways for patients undergoing orthopaedic and breast surgeries before and after their procedures.
  • Provide patient education and encouragement to help them achieve their recovery objectives.
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation for all patient interactions.
  • Engage in service development, quality improvement projects, and patient experience initiatives.
  • Ensure smooth, safe operation of clinical and therapy environments.
  • Collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
