Job Overview and Duties
The position is for a Personal Driver responsible for transporting the Employer, family members, guests, or authorized individuals safely to various locations while complying with traffic laws and practicing safe driving habits. The role includes ensuring the vehicle's cleanliness and maintenance, including regular washing, servicing, fuel management, and inspection of tyre pressure.
Vehicle Documentation and Route Management
The driver must keep all vehicle documents like Registration Certificate, Insurance, Pollution Control Certificate, FASTag, Fitness Certificate (if applicable), and service records up to date. Efficient route planning is essential, taking into account traffic conditions, road closures, and schedules to ensure punctual pickups and drop-offs.
Reporting and Assistance
Any accidents, traffic infractions, mechanical problems, or damages must be promptly reported to the Employer. The driver is responsible for coordinating vehicle servicing with authorized centers. Duties also include assisting with airport transfers, official and personal errands such as shopping, banking, courier deliveries, and document collection.
Handling and Records
The role involves carefully loading and unloading items such as luggage and parcels to ensure their safety. Maintaining daily logs of vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumed, toll and parking expenses, maintenance works, and service schedules is required when needed.
Preparation and Confidentiality
The vehicle must always be sufficiently fueled and equipped with emergency tools, a spare tyre, first aid kit, and mandatory safety equipment before trips. Strict confidentiality of all personal, family, business, financial, and travel information of the Employer must be maintained without disclosure to third parties.
Availability and Conduct
The driver should be flexible to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, public holidays, and outstation travel if required. They must conduct themselves professionally, courteously, be well-groomed, and respectful when interacting with the Employer, family, guests, clients, and the public.
Legal and Additional Duties
Any legal issues, traffic challans, insurance claims, or related incidents involving the vehicle must be immediately communicated to the Employer, with full cooperation provided during resolution. The driver will also perform any other reasonable driving or vehicle-related tasks assigned by the Employer in the interest of their convenience and safety.
