Role Overview

This newly created position supports the expanding Melbourne office under the direct supervision of the Head of People. The role balances recruitment duties with HR administration responsibilities. Tasks include managing full-cycle recruitment for Melbourne-based hiring and functioning as the local HR administrator. The position offers variety, ranging from candidate screening, interview coordination, employment contract issuance, to assisting with new HR system trials and policy updates.

This role is ideal for individuals desiring early career responsibility with an interest in both recruitment and HR operations, motivated by process improvement, and willing to work closely with leadership to expand their HR expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for the Melbourne office, including job advertisement creation, candidate sourcing, screening, and shortlisting.
  • Coordinate interviews with multiple stakeholders and hiring managers to ensure timely progress.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with candidates throughout the hiring process to deliver a positive experience.
  • Extend job offers and prepare employment contracts.
  • Enhance employer branding efforts in Australia to attract top talent.
  • Prepare, issue, and organize employment contracts and related documents in compliance with Australian employment regulations.
  • Maintain well-organized and compliant employee records.
  • Serve as the primary contact for daily HR inquiries within the Melbourne office.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for new hires and exiting employees.
  • Support payroll-related administrative tasks by collaborating with Finance or external parties when necessary.
  • Assist in designing, documenting, and implementing HR policies and procedures as the Melbourne office grows.
  • Contribute to evaluating and deploying new HR systems, including data migrations and staff training on tools.
  • Participate in international HR initiatives as the department develops.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Between two to four years experience in recruitment, HR administration, or HR generalist roles, preferably in fast-paced or rapidly growing organizations.
  • Proven capability managing full recruitment cycles from job postings to contract issuance.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR compliance standards.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to handle multiple recruitment and administrative responsibilities simultaneously without compromising attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable engaging with candidates, employees, and senior leadership.
  • Professional discretion in managing confidential information.
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset focused on process enhancement rather than mere adherence.
  • Full legal authorization to work in Australia.

Preferred Additional Experience

  • Experience or familiarity with iGaming, cryptocurrency, or other fast-evolving international sectors.
  • Background in supporting HR policy development or process optimization initiatives.

What BC Game Offers

  • Comprehensive health and wellbeing support resources.
  • A modern office located in central Melbourne with complimentary snacks and drinks.
  • Regular team lunches and company-wide social events.
