About the Role

Join Youturn as a Payroll Officer and be an integral part of delivering precise and timely payroll services throughout the organisation. Your responsibilities will include end-to-end payroll management, maintaining employee payroll records, assisting with payroll reconciliations, and providing prompt support related to payroll queries from staff and management.

Working closely with the Payroll Coordinator and the Finance team, you will contribute to ensuring payroll processes maintain compliance, efficiency, and high accuracy with professionalism.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process payroll-related transactions such as onboarding new hires, changes in employment status, leave applications, allowances, deductions, and terminations.
  • Support and execute fortnightly payroll processing to guarantee employees receive accurate and timely payments.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll files and system records.
  • Apply the appropriate awards, payroll legislation, tax, and superannuation rules during payroll processing.
  • Assist in performing payroll reconciliations, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Manage payroll-related inquiries professionally and provide timely responses to employees and supervisors.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found within payroll data.
  • Support audits, maintain accurate records, and assist with statutory reporting pertaining to payroll.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts to enhance payroll workflows and service quality.
  • Collaborate closely with Payroll, Finance teams, and other departments to achieve excellent service delivery.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience working as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Administrator, or in a similar payroll support role.
