A large, values-led organisation in Perth is hiring a dependable Payroll Officer to join its People & Culture function. This is a chance to work within a well-established payroll setup, partnered closely with an experienced payroll specialist and supporting a broad, diverse employee base.

Role summary

You will be part of a two-person payroll team and will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing for a fortnightly cycle covering around 2,500 employees. The role combines autonomy with teamwork and involves frequent interaction with HR and other stakeholders to ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

  • Run payroll from start to finish in a large, high-volume environment
  • Complete fortnightly payroll processing within required deadlines
  • Perform reconciliations, checks, validations, and payroll adjustments
  • Handle employee payroll questions and resolve issues efficiently
  • Apply payroll rules, enterprise agreements, legislation, and employment contracts correctly
  • Manage complex payroll matters such as long service leave, terminations, redundancies, and workers compensation payments and reimbursements

  • Keep payroll records accurate and compliant with legal requirements
  • Work closely with HR to support a positive employee experience
