The iServ Group is hiring a detail-focused Payroll Coordinator to join its Finance team in Ocala, Florida. This is a full-time, hourly, on-site position with pay in the range of $45,000 to $55,000, depending on experience.

What this role does

This position supports payroll administration across multiple restaurant brands, making sure employees are paid correctly and on schedule. The role also involves maintaining payroll records, helping with compliance requirements, and acting as a dependable point of contact for pay-related questions.

The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, service-oriented, comfortable handling confidential information, and able to work carefully in a fast-moving environment.

Key duties

Run bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for about 1,500 employees
Check employee hours, pay calculations, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and PTO balances
Perform payroll audits to confirm accuracy and compliance
Prepare payroll reports for leadership and accounting teams
Keep payroll records and employee payroll files up to date
Answer payroll questions from managers and employees
Work with store locations to fix payroll errors, missing data, and timekeeping issues
Help ensure payroll follows federal, state, and local laws
Reconcile payroll reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities
Partner with Human Resources and Accounting when needed
Assist with W-2 preparation and year-end payroll filings
Protect confidential employee information at all times
Look for ways to improve payroll workflows and efficiency

Experience and qualifications

The company is looking for someone with at least 2 to 3 years of experience processing high-volume payroll. Experience with multi-location payroll is preferred, and background in restaurant or hospitality operations is strongly preferred.

Applicants should have a solid understanding of payroll rules, wage and hour requirements, and standard payroll practices. Strong proficiency in Paycom and Microsoft Excel is expected, along with excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The role also calls for the ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a busy environment.
