Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of employee payroll details
- Examine and validate timesheets and attendance logs
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee documentation
- Update payroll databases to reflect current employee data
- Support payroll audits and create reports
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll
- Generate payroll reports and spreadsheets
- Ensure payroll information remains precise and confidential
- Help maintain payroll compliance records
- Work collaboratively with HR and Finance teams on payroll procedures
- Contribute to enhancing payroll operational processes
- Perform other administrative and payroll-related responsibilities as assigned
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Preference given to candidates with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or similar disciplines
- 0 to 2 years of experience in administrative, accounting, finance, payroll, or customer service roles
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Workspace, and payroll software is advantageous
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills
- Professionalism, reliability, and discretion in handling confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internships or entry-level experience in accounting or payroll
- Experience with payroll systems like ADP, Paychex, Workday, or UKG
- Understanding of payroll procedures and recordkeeping
- Experience using HRIS or ERP systems
- Genuine interest in payroll, finance, or HR fields
