Job Summary
This role involves working within a busy appointments call centre environment at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, handling bookings for various outpatient clinics and theatre procedures. The position requires learning Welsh language skills post-appointment if not already proficient.
Key Responsibilities
You will be part of a team managing patient waiting lists and scheduling their appointments. The role demands excellent communication capabilities, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Qualifications and Experience
- Essential: GCSE Maths and English (grade A-C)
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or relevant experience in a busy office setting
- IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office packages
- Experience working in an acute hospital, GP practice, or call centre environment
- Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and telephone
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Desirable: Understanding of medical terminology and NHS systems
- Prior experience with waiting list management
- Previous NHS employment experience
- Competence in Microsoft Office usage
