GGateway is looking for an experienced Oracle Hyperion Techno-Functional Consultant to work onsite in Doha, Qatar for a major client. This is a consultancy assignment focused on keeping the client's Oracle Hyperion EPM landscape running smoothly while also providing functional support to users across Qatar. Arabic fluency is essential because of the local stakeholder environment, and strong English communication is also required.

The assignment is through GGateway and will involve delivering technical services to the client in Qatar. Relocation to Doha is required.

The consultant must be fluent in Arabic and should also have very strong English communication skills.

About the role

The selected consultant will be responsible for administering, supporting, and continuously improving the client's Oracle Hyperion EPM environment, covering Essbase, Planning, FDQM, and HFM. The position combines technical administration with functional support for the wider external user community in Qatar.

Responsibilities

Run and support the Oracle Hyperion ecosystem, including Essbase, Planning Server, FDQM, and HFM.
Handle operational tasks such as upgrades, backups, recovery, capacity planning, production deployments, and failover testing.
Oversee production, test, disaster recovery, and development environments within the Hyperion platform.
Manage patching, releases, and version tracking for Hyperion applications.
Ensure environment security follows internal standards and compliance requirements.
Support budgeting and planning allocations within the system.
Maintain backup routines and carry out disaster recovery planning and execution.
Configure and manage user access in Shared Services for Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
Deploy and maintain financial data across the full Hyperion EPM suite.
Coordinate Hyperion FDMEE data loads from EBS.
Build and support standard reporting outputs.
Assist the business with month-end close activities.
Create, update, and maintain system administration documents.
Monitor system performance and tune Hyperion accounting and finance applications as needed.
Review reports, reconciliations, and related documentation to support system integrity.
Develop archiving policies and operational processes for the Hyperion environment.
Maintain disaster recovery infrastructure for Hyperion.
Plan and implement new Hyperion environments, both functional and technical.
Support backup operations and testing together with the Backup Administrator.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
More than 5 years of relevant experience is required.
8 to 10 years of hands-on work with Oracle Hyperion products.
Strong practical experience with Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning.
Advanced proficiency in Smart View and the Essbase Excel Add-in.
Advanced capability in Reporting Studio writer support.
Experience supporting an external user community across Qatar.
Project management ability, including exposure to system upgrade leadership.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Arabic fluency is mandatory, with very good English communication skills.

This role is contracted through GGateway and delivered to the client in Qatar. The consultancy model, flexible hours, and 1-year contract duration are part of the engagement terms.
