Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team full-time in Sydney, NSW, Australia. This role focuses on examining business procedures, identifying areas for enhancement, and supporting data-informed decision-making to boost operational effectiveness and overall business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing workflows and operational processes to pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret operational data to guide business strategies.
• Create reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business metrics.
• Detect operational bottlenecks and recommend enhancements to optimize processes.
• Work collaboratively with various departments to increase efficiency and simplify operations.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring operational projects.
• Prepare comprehensive business reports, presentations, and executive summaries for senior management.
• Identify and manage operational risks, proposing corrective measures when necessary.
• Help develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Conduct research on market trends, industry developments, and business insights to aid operational planning.
• Apply data analytics tools to uncover actionable insights facilitating improved decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Prior experience preferred in operations analysis, business analysis, process enhancement, consulting, or related fields.
• Strong analytical thinking, quantitative skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with data visualization platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is advantageous.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar data analysis tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficient organizational skills with capacity to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Great attention to detail combined with a drive for continuous improvement.
• Experience utilizing AI productivity software such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Gemini is beneficial.
