Multi-Skilled Facilities Management Technician

Overview

Apex Tech seeks a highly experienced Multi-Skilled Facilities Management Technician to work at various client locations within Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role demands proficiency in multiple trades within facilities maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building upkeep. Candidates must adhere strictly to Apex Tech's SOPs, client rules, and comply with Saudi Civil Defense, SASO, and HSE safety regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on low-voltage electrical distribution systems, lighting, power outlets, and small electrical equipment.
• Replace electrical components such as lamps, ballasts, switches, and fixtures safely in compliance with safety standards.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical panels, emergency lighting, and UPS units as detailed in PPM checklists.
• Identify and resolve plumbing issues including leaks, blockages, and faults across water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems.
• Install and repair taps, valves, pipework, pumps, and sanitary fittings.
• Conduct routine inspections and document the status of washroom, pantry, and water systems per maintenance schedules.
• Carry out routine HVAC servicing, including cleaning, filter changes, and basic repairs on split and packaged air conditioning units.
• Detect and escalate HVAC problems such as cooling inefficiencies, unusual noises, water leaks, or duct damage to specialists when needed.
• Perform small carpentry tasks like fixing doors, locks, furniture, partitions, and fixtures, alongside other minor building maintenance duties (ceiling tiles, wall fixtures, painting touch-ups).
• Complete all maintenance work orders promptly and accurately, adhering to response time commitments and ensuring requester confirmation upon completion.
• Maintain and correctly use hand tools, power tools, and personal protective equipment, reporting any damages immediately to supervisors.
• Comply with all site-specific safety protocols, utilize personal protective gear, and promptly report hazards, near-misses, or incidents.
• Exemplify professional conduct on client sites, upholding Apex Tech’s positive image in all interactions.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum five years’ experience in multi-trade facilities maintenance within residential, commercial, or corporate environments; experience within GCC or KSA highly advantageous.
• Industrial or technical diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or related trades; possessing recognized trade certifications is a plus.
• Hands-on proficiency in at least three core trades: Low Voltage Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and General Building Maintenance.
• Basic familiarity with Fire Alarm Systems and Building Management Systems is advantageous.
• Valid Saudi driving license and basic first aid training are considered beneficial.
• Fluency in reading and understanding work orders, safety instructions, and maintenance logs in Arabic and/or English.
• Must have a valid, transferable Iqama and Saudi Council of Engineers membership.
