Model Manager - Licensing & Vehicle Platform

About the Role

Transport for NSW is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Model Manager focusing on licensing and vehicle platform support. In this permanent full-time role based in Parramatta, NSW, you will contribute to developing, maintaining, and deploying application models essential to the organization's transport systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, upkeep, and deployment of application models collaborating closely with development teams.
• Manage environments, software releases, and tools such as Guardien and CSE to facilitate seamless operations.
• Partner with external vendors to improve system processes and address delivery challenges.
• Provide ongoing technical support, diagnose and solve issues related to model management.
• Oversee system updates, migrations, preparation of release builds, and deployment files ensuring consistency and reliability.
• Maintain development and testing environments, improve automation scripts, and verify documentation accuracy.
• Engage in strategic activities including system upgrades, model exports, and testing new environments and projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders including developers, tech leads, release teams, and external vendors to ensure smooth delivery and integration.
• Participate occasionally in after-hours release support to ensure system stability.

Candidate Profile

• Proficient in Unix system administration and comfortable managing technical environments on a daily basis.
• Experienced in troubleshooting complex technical issues such as compiler and linker errors.
• Skilled in usage and support of tools like Guardien and CSE.
• Familiarity with scripting languages including Unix shell scripting, Perl, or Windows batch scripting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Windows Server environments is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with various teams and external partners.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with independence and teamwork in fast-paced settings.
