This field-based role involves educating and enrolling Medicare beneficiaries in Curana’s Medicare Special Needs Plans (ISNP, IESNP, MAPD) through consultative sales and relationship building. The position requires managing the Tennessee territory independently, frequent travel throughout the state, and location preference around Nashville or Franklin, TN. The role reports to the Regional Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person and virtual appointments with Medicare beneficiaries across Tennessee.
  • Clearly communicate plan options, benefits, and eligibility in a compliant and customer-centered manner.
  • Develop and expand territory by building relationships with senior living staff, agencies, and community organizations supporting Medicare populations.
  • Use consultative selling to identify customer needs and present appropriate plan options.
  • Provide educational sessions and training to partner staff to drive awareness and enrollment.
  • Achieve territory enrollment targets and consistently meet/exceed sales goals.
  • Deliver an excellent member experience throughout the enrollment process, addressing benefit and eligibility queries.
  • Comply fully with Medicare Marketing Guidelines and other relevant regulations in all activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and enrollments via CRM systems.
  • Plan travel, schedule appointments, and manage daily territory tasks independently to hit performance targets.
  • Maintain a motivated, goal-oriented approach for achieving sales objectives.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in sales, customer service, or healthcare-related roles.
  • Three to five years’ experience in sales or other customer-facing roles emphasizing customer needs assessment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 75%) throughout Tennessee; residents near Nashville highly preferred.
  • Current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to obtain state insurance licensing within 30 days of hire with company assistance.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building capabilities, including presentations to individuals and small groups.
  • Highly organized and able to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment while managing a territory.
  • Comfortable with outreach initiatives and establishing new community relationships.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using CRM or documentation tools.
  • Capability to carry up to 25 pounds of materials.
  • We encourage candidates with backgrounds in senior living, admissions, healthcare, community outreach, or related fields passionate about elder care.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working directly with senior populations or within healthcare settings such as senior living, home health, hospice, or care coordination.
  • Background in sales, admissions, business development, community outreach, or case management.
  • Experience in B2C customer-facing settings.
  • Familiarity with Medicare or health insurance products is beneficial but not required.
