Overview
Join Alignerr as a Mechanical Engineer AI Trainer and play a pivotal role in advancing artificial intelligence technologies. Collaborate remotely with leading AI research labs to develop more sophisticated AI models by applying your expertise in mechanical engineering fields such as fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, structural mechanics, and more. This role offers a unique chance to influence AI’s problem-solving capabilities in engineering, without requiring prior AI experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise complex mechanical engineering challenges covering areas like finite element analysis (FEA), heat transfer, kinematics, material science, and mechatronics to evaluate AI reasoning under extreme technical conditions.
- Create comprehensive, stepwise technical solutions that set the standard for AI learning and accuracy.
- Audit AI-generated outputs—such as CAD design logic, thermodynamic calculations, and material specifications—to ensure technical correctness, safety, and alignment with engineering standards (including ASME and ISO).
- Identify and report logical flaws like incorrect force distributions, violations of energy conservation, or improper material assumptions, delivering structured feedback to enhance AI reasoning quality.
Candidate Profile
- Advanced academic qualifications: Master's degree (currently pursuing or completed) or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong expertise in domains such as solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex physical phenomena and mathematical reasoning in well-organized technical documentation.
- Detail-oriented approach to reviewing mathematical derivations, unit conversions, dimensional analysis, and physical system constraints.
- No prerequisite experience with AI; comprehensive training and guidance will be provided.
Additional Advantages

- Familiarity with engineering software tools like SolidWorks, MATLAB, or ANSYS.
- Experience producing or reviewing technical documentation conforming to engineering standards.
