Role Overview
This full-time, on-location position based in the Doha Metropolitan Area requires a Master Tailor responsible for designing, cutting, and sewing bespoke garments, alongside executing detailed alterations and fittings to guarantee precise measurements and customized results. Daily duties include consulting clients regarding fabric choices, styles, and design selections; performing fittings; adjusting patterns; and confirming that all garments adhere to quality benchmarks and scheduled delivery times. The role also entails mentoring junior tailors as needed, maintaining an orderly workspace, and extending courteous, professional customer interactions. Cooperation with the shop team to ensure smooth workflows and excellent client experiences is expected.
Qualifications
- Expertise in tailoring and dressmaking processes including garment construction, pattern drafting, and alteration techniques.
- Skilled in conducting fittings and measurements with the ability to diagnose fit issues and execute precise corrections.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities to comprehend client preferences and provide clear advice.
- Experience handling diverse fabric types and styles, encompassing formal attire and traditional garments.
- Competent in the safe and effective operation and upkeep of sewing machines and related equipment.
- Keen attention to detail, effective time management, and dependability in meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
- Prior tenure as a master or senior tailor within a professional tailoring or fashion setting.
- Commitment to full-time on-site work in the Doha Metropolitan Area and teamwork collaboration.
