Role Overview
We are looking to hire a Manufacturing Operations Technician to assist with daily production, logistics, and assembly at our aircraft manufacturing unit. This position requires a practical and organized individual comfortable with diverse manufacturing tasks including assembling components, managing inventory, internal logistics, packing, and preparing items for shipment. Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach are essential to ensure smooth production workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct aircraft trolleys, prop guards, and other mechanical sub-assemblies accurately according to set standards.
- Provide general support to manufacturing operations as needed.
- Prepare and package parts and equipment, facilitating shipments.
- Manage logistics between company sites, regularly moving components and tools.
- Maintain clean and organized working and manufacturing spaces.
- Assist with inventory tasks including stock audits, labeling, relocating, and storing parts.
- Adhere to instructions, carry out quality inspections, and follow safety protocols.
- Identify and communicate issues, shortages, or opportunities for process enhancement to the team lead.
- Support the hardware team during periods of increased production or urgent operational demands.
Qualifications and Skills
- Practical experience in manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, or logistics settings.
- Proficient with hand tools and able to follow assembly instructions diligently.
- Strong focus on detail with the ability to consistently meet quality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and willingness to undertake various duties.
- Dependable, self-motivated with an ability to work independently when necessary.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset.
- Possession of a full clean driving license is advantageous.
- Prior experience in aircraft, drones, automotive, electronic, mechanical manufacturing or similar technical fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory control, packing, and shipment preparation processes.
- Relevant training in forklift operation, manual handling, or workshop/logistics safety is beneficial.
- Acquainted with working in environments governed by quality control standards.
