Job Overview

Take a pivotal leadership role as the Manager of Strategic Partnerships at the Ministry of Justice in Wellington, New Zealand. This role centers on forging and nurturing vital partnerships to enhance justice outcomes for Māori communities. You will lead the Ministry's engagement strategies, ensuring adherence to Te Tiriti o Waitangi commitments and partnership obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the Ministry's strategic engagement and partnership initiatives.
• Enhance relationships with iwi, Māori organisations, justice sector entities, and critical stakeholders.
• Manage Treaty settlement responsibilities and uphold partnership commitments.
• Implement engagement standards, quality assurance protocols, and best practice approaches throughout the Ministry.
• Provide data-driven insights and strategic advice to influence organizational priorities and decision-making.

Required Skills and Experience

• Comprehensive understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and New Zealand's Māori-Crown relations.
• Extensive experience leading strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement operations.
• Proven ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with senior leaders, iwi groups, and external partners.
• Leadership skills to guide high-performing teams through complex and changing environments with competing priorities.
• Competency in utilizing data and insights to inform strategic decisions and organizational judgement.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is NZD 149,972 to 193,782, with placement dependent on the candidate's skills and experience.
