Role Summary
This position belongs to the Talent Management Centre of Excellence and plays a critical role in shaping and driving the talent strategy at Tata Communications. The incumbent will be responsible, both directly and indirectly, for implementing talent-related processes, frameworks, policy standards, and operational plans aligned with organizational and business strategies. Key focus areas include Effective Performance Management (goal setting, coaching conversations, performance management across various focus groups), Employee Recognition, Employee Engagement, Strategic Talent Planning for prioritized talent groups, and Social Fabric initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the execution and adoption of performance management processes, including goal setting, coaching, management of top and below-average performance, performance improvement plans (PIP), and holistic assessments.
- Lead the design and implementation of employee engagement programs to enhance organizational culture.
- Champion employee recognition initiatives to uplift morale and productivity.
- Collaborate with business partners to forecast talent needs and align talent strategies that support organizational objectives; facilitate talent interventions and succession planning for critical talent segments.
- Utilize analytics and reporting to monitor program effectiveness, gain insights, identify gaps, and develop data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with HR CoE teams and business partners to ensure seamless implementation of talent initiatives.
- Conduct stakeholder engagement to perform need analyses and gather feedback for refining programs.
- Manage budget related to talent programs by tracking expenditures against plans and executing corrective measures as necessary.
- Plan and execute annual initiatives including budgeting and scheduling.
- Analyze employee survey results and benchmark best practices to inform strategy development.
- Contribute to the formation and revision of HR policies, frameworks, and processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a postgraduate degree in Human Resources.
- Between 4 to 7 years of experience in human resources functions.
Skills and Knowledge
- Broad understanding of HR disciplines including performance management, compensation, learning and development, and organizational design.
- Experience with HR systems and operational processes.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strategic, agile and design thinking mindset.
- Ability to leverage data analytics for strategic insights and decision making.
