About the Role
The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) is searching for an experienced and highly motivated individual to take on the role of Manager – Digital Forensics. This position is tasked with managing the Forensic Unit to support the organization’s compliance and investigative objectives, particularly focused on investigating and aiding the prosecution of tax violations. The role reports directly to the Assistant Director of Investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and executing unit strategies to meet performance goals.
- Distributing responsibilities among staff, ensuring fair and strategic allocation.
- Advising team members on technical digital forensic analysis for each case.
- Facilitating continuous process improvements within the unit by involving staff.
- Overseeing the use and adherence to laboratory procedures for acquiring, examining, analyzing, and presenting digital evidence.
- Leading the exploration and validation of innovative forensic methods, tools, and technologies.
- Assessing emerging needs for digital forensic technology and recommending updates or changes.
- Coordinating with other internal teams and external government agencies as required.
- Evaluating team performance, identifying areas for skill development, and compiling performance reports.
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 12 School Certificate or GCE with at least five credits, including English and Mathematics.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, ICT, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years' experience supervising digital forensics activities.
- At least one vendor-neutral and one vendor-specific digital forensics certification.
- Active membership with the Information and Communication Technology Association of Zambia (ICTAZ).
