Role overview
This leadership role is responsible for shaping demand and supply plans that help balance capacity, cost, quality, and service across Stryten Energy’s supply chain network. The position oversees forecasting, supply planning, and inventory deployment for the Industrial Business Unit, with day-to-day and weekly coordination with plants to put approved plans into action. In addition, the role is expected to promote a culture of continuous improvement that strengthens customer satisfaction, productivity, and employee growth.
This is an on-site position based at the Alpharetta, Georgia headquarters, with a five-day-in-office schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the consensus forecasting process for the industrial business.
- Build and maintain a rolling 12-month supply plan.
- Contribute to Sales and Operations Planning review cycles by helping define supply planning strategy.
- Prepare and maintain monthly S&OP planning documentation for the industrial business.
- Translate supply strategy into weekly and daily production schedules for plants to support customer service targets.
- Drive inventory goal achievement.
- Manage and develop team members through coaching and training.
- Promote ongoing process improvement across the function.
- Use deep knowledge of JDE, Tableau, and related business processes to support internal teams.
- Apply sales planning and prioritization expertise to support allocation decisions.
- Work effectively in a complex matrix organization while influencing stakeholders outside direct reporting lines.
- Connect distribution requirements planning with broader supply chain processes such as demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, production scheduling, MRP, and transportation management.
- Use business judgment and quantitative analysis to assess situations and apply practical, big-picture solutions.
- Work with transaction systems, decision-support tools, databases, spreadsheets, word processing tools, and graphics applications.
- Use advanced planning software; JDE and SQL experience is preferred.
- Communicate clearly in both written and verbal form and collaborate well with others.
Experience and qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of experience in supply planning, forecasting, inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and/or operations.
- 5 to 10 years of related planning, operations, or supply chain experience.
- Prior experience in scheduling or purchasing is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, management, or a related field is preferred.
- An MBA or master’s degree in information technology or logistics is preferred.
- CPIM (APICS) certification is an added advantage.
Skills and knowledge
- Strong understanding of supply chain planning methods, processes, and systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint capability.
- Exposure to JDA and JD Edwards is helpful.
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical thinking and the ability to simplify complex problems.
- Capacity to grow into broader responsibilities within the company.
- High level of integrity in day-to-day work.
