About the Role

As a Major Project Scheduler, you will be instrumental in planning and managing complex, high-profile projects by designing integrated schedules encompassing all disciplines, contractors, and client activities. Your role ensures effective collaboration and communication among diverse teams, facilitating project progress from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in collaboration with project management.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams and external partners to meet project goals.
- Create baseline schedules outlining tasks, durations, and milestones for entire projects.
- Update schedules regularly based on actual field progress, tracking start and finish dates.
- Identify the critical path and evaluate the consequences of any delays.
- Ensure precise schedule reporting and information dissemination.
- Detect potential scheduling clashes early and formulate mitigation plans.
- Facilitate strategic planning and scheduling sessions with project teams.
- Construct complex schedules for major construction projects involving attractions.
- Evaluate contractor requests for time extensions and assess impacts of directives and change orders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key team members and clients.
- Influence decision-making processes within areas of responsibility.
- Lead pull planning workshops involving project teams, contractors, and partners.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction sequencing and trade operations.
- At least 8 years of experience scheduling integrated construction projects, preferably related to major theme park attractions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced in schedule analysis and cost/resource-loaded scheduling methodologies.
- Proficiency with construction scheduling software such as P3, P5, and P6.
- Capability to manage multiple concurrent construction schedules.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred fields: Architecture, Engineering, or Construction.
Compensation & Benefits
This position in Orlando, Florida offers a salary range from $132,600 to $161,600 annually. Actual pay will be based on factors such as internal equity, geographical location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for bonuses or long-term incentive units alongside comprehensive medical, financial, and other employee benefits. The role reports directly to the Vice President of WDW Facilities Asset Management.
