Role overview
RAAFA WA is hiring a permanent full-time Maintenance Officer for its Bull Creek estate in South Perth, Western Australia. This is a newly established role created to add further support to the existing maintenance team as the organisation continues to expand. The position is based at the Air Force Memorial Estate and focuses on keeping the site safe, comfortable, and running efficiently for residents.
The role offers 40 hours per week plus one rostered day off each month. Compensation is competitive and includes salary packaging and superannuation.

What you will do
Working alongside the Maintenance Supervisor, you will help maintain buildings, equipment, and facilities across the Bull Creek estate.
- Carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance work
- Respond to maintenance requests submitted through the system
- Maintain and service equipment such as air conditioning units, hot water systems, and appliances
- Liaise with contractors when outside support is needed
- Assist with projects and improvement works around the estate
- Contribute to a safe and well-kept environment for residents

The ideal candidate will bring practical maintenance experience and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team. A strong customer-focused approach, sound troubleshooting ability, and a good understanding of workplace safety are important for success in this role.
- Hands-on experience in general maintenance or a similar position

- Strong problem-solving capability

Location
The role is based at a 11-hectare estate in Bull Creek, featuring landscaped gardens, parklands, and a lake. It is described as a relaxed, community-oriented setting where each day brings different tasks.
Requirements
- Full working rights in Australia
- Current C class driver’s licence
- National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, which will be paid for by RAAFA
