Position Overview
This full-time, ongoing role is based at the Chadstone campus, offering onsite parking and convenient access to public transport. The salary ranges from $64,076 to $69,189 annually pro rata, with an additional 12% superannuation and leave loading, depending on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various general building and facilities maintenance tasks across Holmesglen campuses, complying with safety, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and collaborate with staff, contractors, and service providers to coordinate both routine and urgent repairs.
- Inspect buildings to assess conditions, identify maintenance needs, and initiate work requests accordingly.
- Support scheduled audits of buildings and facilities.
- Manage and allocate maintenance jobs, ensuring completion with high standards and proper documentation.
Requirements and Eligibility
- Certificate III or higher qualification in a relevant building trade combined with pertinent work experience.
- Possession of a Level 2 First Aid Certificate.
- Valid and current full Victorian driver's licence.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety standards, including manual handling, working at heights, and handling high-risk permits within construction environments.
- Prior experience in maintenance or handyman roles involving equipment upkeep and property management.
Appointment is contingent on obtaining a Victorian ‘employee’ Working with Children Check and a police check issued within the last 12 months.
