Role Overview
Based in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE, the full-time Machine Operator position involves managing production machinery aligned with company protocols and safety requirements. Key duties include machine setup, fine-tuning, monitoring production lines, conducting product inspections, and routine quality assurance to ensure outputs meet established standards. The operator also performs minor equipment maintenance using hand tools, documents production metrics, escalates equipment issues, and works closely with supervisors and team members to achieve production objectives. Commitment to safety regulations and contributing to ongoing process enhancements is essential.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must hold a Diploma or ITI certification.
- Proven experience operating automated or semi-automated machinery in manufacturing settings.
- Competent in performing quality control assessments to verify products adhere to specifications.
- Skilled in using hand tools for routine maintenance, adjustments, and troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with supervisors, maintenance staff, and peers, following instructions accurately.
- Prior work experience in industrial or factory environments is required; familiarity with tobacco or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing is advantageous.
- Thorough understanding and observance of safety practices, with attention to detail and physical stamina for prolonged standing and manual tasks.
- Educational background in mechanical, industrial, or related technical fields is preferred, alongside willingness to comply with standard operating procedures.
