Job Overview

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Linux Administrator to work with a multinational company at PAN India locations. The role demands 8 to 12 years of total IT experience with at least 5 years dedicated to Linux system administration.

Responsibilities and Skills

• Manage Linux environments including RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE Linux along with Azure infrastructure, specifically Azure migration, Azure networking, IaaS, PaaS, data center cloud security, SIAM, data storage, Azure Key Vault, and identity & access management.
• Troubleshoot across Azure Linux environments addressing processor, networking clusters, IO, memory, and other system-related issues.
• Design and implement end-to-end solution architectures tailored to business needs, domain regulations, quality attributes, and cost efficiency.
• Handle Linux storage management, including devices, logical volumes, and file systems.
• Install and upgrade software packages and manage system upgrades, migrations, and backups.
• Perform system restoration from backups including OS and data files.
• Control and manage services and daemons, including boot processes.
• Configure and troubleshoot network settings on Linux systems, including link aggregation, bonding, teaming, bridging, and DNS management.
• Administer email delivery systems using Postfix.
• Provide file-based storage services such as NFS exports and SMB shares.
• Configure Apache HTTPD web servers for TLS-enabled websites and virtual hosts.
• Execute shell scripting and automation to optimize workflows and system performance.
• Enhance web server efficiency using caching (Varnish) and load balancing (HAProxy) technologies.
• Perform system tuning, including adjusting process scheduling priorities for performance improvements.
• Offer technical guidance to junior engineers and conduct root cause analysis on complex issues.
• Maintain high standards of security compliance in UNIX environments.

Mandatory Technical Expertise

SUSE Linux administration is essential for this position.
