Job description
Role Overview
We are expanding our Tauranga team and seeking a Lead Engineer specialized in Land Infrastructure to manage and deliver intricate multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. This role involves engagement across transportation, land development, utilities, water, and government projects, requiring collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to implement practical infrastructure solutions. Alongside technical execution, this position involves client interaction and mentoring junior engineers within a growing regional group.
Key Contributions
- Design civil infrastructure encompassing roads, drainage systems, utilities, earthworks, and land development projects across sectors including transport, water, energy, and government.
- Produce top-quality technical reports and design documentation while adhering to budgets and deadlines.
- Offer technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Participate in proposal preparation and support project execution within the national Land Infrastructure division.
- Engage directly with clients to identify challenges and develop effective engineering solutions.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Brings approximately 10 or more years of experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering roadworks, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and pavement design projects.
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as 12d Model or Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities suited for client and stakeholder collaboration.
- Exhibits a positive, cooperative attitude with a keen interest in mentoring and developing engineering talent.
