Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of the Laundry Supervisor to efficiently sort soiled guestroom linens and Food & Beverage linens, placing them into labeled containers for pick-up
• Identify and separate any misused linen for further review
• Report any foreign objects found within linen or chute areas, including items like glass, cutlery, food, or needles
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area consistently
• Adhere to health and safety protocols by wearing protective equipment such as masks and gloves when required
• Fold and organize clean towels and bathrobes for collection and distribution by floor porters or housemen
• Roll room linens and store them properly for distribution
• Assist with washing towels when necessary, following chemical handling instructions and lifting procedures learned through training
• Perform additional tasks within the linen and laundry department as needed
• Notify the supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or potential health and safety risks
• Participate in training sessions provided by the Housekeeping or Human Resources departments

Candidate Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational training, or at least one year of relevant work experience
• Basic understanding of English is preferred
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Previous experience in luxury hotel housekeeping is advantageous
