Role Overview
As a Junior Project Manager focused on industrial projects, you will be instrumental in maintaining efficient operations at our production site by overseeing various construction and maintenance initiatives. Collaborating closely with senior project managers, engineers, and multi-disciplinary teams, you will ensure that projects adhere to deadlines, budgets, and stringent safety and quality benchmarks. This position offers valuable practical project management experience within a dynamic factory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in formulating comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedules, budgets, and allocation of resources.
- Manage the daily progression of facility projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Liaise and coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to meet project specifications.
- Keep precise documentation including contracts, change orders, and progress updates.
- Supervise adherence to quality and safety standards throughout project execution phases.
- Monitor and control project spending to remain within approved budgets.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, such as factory leadership and team members, to keep everyone informed.
- Proactively resolve project challenges and risks to maintain project momentum.
- Create regular reports and presentations to update senior management on project status.
- Contribute ideas to enhance project management processes and encourage best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical engineering backgrounds are highly regarded.
- One to two years of experience in managing projects effectively.
- Strong organizational capabilities and excellent time management.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
- Understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
- Certification such as PMP or CAPM is beneficial.
