Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated entry-level professional with a solid foundation in computer science and enthusiasm for data work. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates who have engaged in academic projects related to data analysis or data engineering and are seeking to launch their careers in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with gathering, cleaning, and transforming data to facilitate analytics and reporting tasks.
• Develop and enhance SQL queries to extract and manipulate data effectively.
• Support building and maintaining data pipelines and database systems.
• Work alongside senior colleagues to analyze datasets and derive meaningful insights.
• Create documentation of processes and help implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience with academic projects involving data analysis, database design, or akin areas.
• Proficient knowledge of SQL is essential.
• Basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and relational database concepts.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python for data manipulation tasks.
• Exposure to data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI during academic coursework.
• Understanding foundational concepts of data warehousing and ETL processes.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position in New York is $60,000 to $65,000 per year. Compensation is determined in compliance with all applicable laws and may vary based on factors including location, experience, education, certifications, job performance, and internal pay equity. Additional compensation such as bonuses or incentives may also be offered depending on applicable policies.
