Junior Accountant

Role Overview

PERCUP, an expanding consumer brand based in Dubai, seeks a Junior Accountant to oversee daily financial activities. This role demands direct involvement and accountability to maintain updated books, ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, and guarantee timely payments and reconciliations of all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily bookkeeping and perform month-end closing using Zoho Books or equivalent accounting software.
• Prepare, file, and ensure timely submission of UAE VAT returns and assist with Corporate Tax filings.
• Process payments to brands and partners promptly while rigorously verifying payout reconciliations before disbursal.
• Manage the entire accounts payable process efficiently.
• Reconcile shipping invoices, vendor bills, bank statements, and payment gateway or aggregator settlements.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a degree in Accounting or Finance with 1 to 3 years of experience, preferably within the UAE; strong fresh graduates will also be considered.
• Possess solid understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax rules.
• Proficient in using accounting software and Excel.
• Highly organized, precise, proactive, and trustworthy when handling confidential information.
• Arabic language skills would be an added advantage.
