Job description
Position Overview
This role involves creating and repairing cable connections in accordance with established procedural guidelines. The position requires undertaking worldwide project assignments both onshore and offshore, including factory work in Nordenham and pull-in operations on offshore structures and landing points. Responsibilities also include overseeing the flawless operational and functional status of technical equipment, ensuring safety compliance particularly at job sites and customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Fabrication of cable connections following existing procedures.
- Performing cable and cable element repairs in line with regulations and supervisor coordination.
- Periodic re-certification of connection and repair techniques.
- Continual documentation of all repair and connection activities using designated forms.
- Global site deployments including onshore and offshore projects.
- Conducting pull-in operations on offshore constructions and landings.
- Supervising cable shipment operations.
- Maintaining technical equipment functionality and safety, especially on-site and for clients.
Requirements
- Completed vocational or technical training of at least three years.
- Manual dexterity paired with well-developed fine motor skills and solid technical understanding.
- Willingness to exhibit high flexibility regarding working hours and locations, including travel for installation activities domestically and internationally, including work on ships, occasionally during weekends and public holidays.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently as directed.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
- Readiness to participate in shift work.
