Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Team Leader to oversee and optimize technological operations within our network across Quebec City or Montreal. This full-time permanent role requires strategic leadership and operational management, with the responsibility to travel occasionally within regions including Montérégie, Laurentians, Outaouais, Laval, Saint-Sauveur, and Gatineau.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all IT operations including infrastructure, networks, security, and user support.
- Mentor, develop, and unify technical teams to enhance performance.
- Ensure continual operation and peak performance of essential systems.
- Respond efficiently and calmly to major incidents.
- Monitor KPIs and SLAs to maintain high service quality and optimize IT processes such as change management and governance.
- Improve IT supplier management and control costs.
- Enhance cybersecurity measures and maintain robust business continuity strategies.
- Support user troubleshooting and provide guidance, particularly on cybersecurity matters.
- Contribute significantly to strategic IT planning and compliance enforcement.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 7 years of IT industry experience and at least 3 years in a supervisory or operational leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise managing IT across multiple locations.
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or Azure are advantageous.
- Possess a university degree in computer science, information technology, or a linked discipline.
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on motivation, structure, and achieving results.
- Capability to make quick decisions in ambiguous settings and manage complex projects.
- Excellent analysis, risk management, and operational optimization skills.
- Technical proficiency in server infrastructure, virtualization, Microsoft ecosystems (AD, M365, Azure), networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, Firewall), cybersecurity, and cloud/hybrid environments.
- Effective communicator able to liaise between technical teams and senior management.
- Adaptable and resilient under pressure, particularly in managing critical incidents.
Working Conditions & Availability
- Standard 40-hour workweek with an on-site presence.
- Vehicle required for occasional travel across multiple locations.
- 3-month probation period.
- On-call duties applicable during evenings and weekends to respond to urgent incidents.
