Role Description
The Internal Auditor position is a full-time, on-site role based in Arsenal. This role focuses on assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of the resort's financial, operational, and compliance processes. Primary duties include planning and executing comprehensive internal audits, scrutinizing financial documentation and control mechanisms, and producing detailed, well-structured audit reports containing actionable recommendations.
The auditor ensures adherence to internal policies, legal regulations, and industry standards, identifying risks and suggesting preventive measures. Collaboration is key, as this role works closely with finance, operations, and management teams to guarantee accurate reporting, efficient resource utilization, and continual improvements to internal controls. Additional responsibilities include supporting management with special reviews and contributing to the refinement of audit methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proficient in audit procedures and report preparation, including documenting findings and advising on improvements.
- Strong analytical abilities with a thorough understanding of financial principles, internal control systems, and risk assessment.
- Experience in financial auditing, ideally within hospitality, tourism, or service sectors.
- Excellent communication skills capable of conveying complex audit matters clearly to diverse stakeholders and fostering teamwork across departments.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or related disciplines; possession of certifications like CIA, ACCA, or CPA is an added benefit.
- Competence in audit software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with hotel or resort management systems is advantageous.
- Demonstrated high integrity, meticulous attention to detail, and discretion handling sensitive information.
- Ability to operate independently, handle multiple audits simultaneously, and adhere to deadlines in an active resort setting.
