About the Role
An exciting vacancy exists for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic construction firm based in Cork, specializing in commercial and residential developments. This role offers the chance to engage with significant building projects and contribute meaningfully to cost management and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project budgets, cost estimates, and plans.
- Oversee financial management and cost reporting throughout projects.
- Assess tender submissions and conduct supplier contract negotiations.
- Handle contract variations, claims, and support administrative duties.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of three years' professional experience in the construction sector.
- Proficient understanding of commercial and contractual aspects in construction.
- Strong skills in analysis and negotiation.
- Familiarity with software tools used for budgeting and cost reporting.
