Role Overview

We are immediately seeking a full-time Install Assistant based at our Winnipeg location. This role involves supporting the countertop installation process, ensuring high quality and professional service during installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support lead installers in the complete installation of countertops while maintaining professionalism.
• Assist in the careful removal of existing countertops and plumbing as necessary.
• Address customer questions and concerns professionally while on site.
• Troubleshoot installation-related technical issues as they occur.
• Adhere closely to scheduled timelines and communicate proactively with customers if delays arise.
• Maintain the cleanliness and condition of company vehicles to meet company standards.
• Perform errands during job assignments, such as retrieving missing pieces or tools from the workshop.
• Engage in cross-training on Junior Installer duties as part of ongoing development.
• Carry out other related tasks as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided; however, experience in countertop installation or construction is beneficial.
• Capable of managing challenging situations with tact and respect.
• Strong organizational capability, keen attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic mathematics proficiency.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Physically able to carry weights between 100 and 200 pounds (assisted).
• Comfortable with frequent bending, twisting, and kneeling during work.
• Available for local travel with occasional out-of-town assignments.
• Flexibility to work overtime when needed.
