Overview

We are looking for a skilled IT Engineer with practical experience in managing and supporting data centre hardware and rack-mounted infrastructure. This position suits candidates who thrive in onsite roles troubleshooting physical hardware and ensuring the continuous operation of critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, and cable hardware within data centres
• Provide support for servers, network devices, and storage equipment
• Diagnose and resolve hardware faults at the rack level
• Coordinate smart-hands activities and handle break/fix tasks
• Adhere strictly to data centre standards, safety guidelines, and change management procedures
• Assist with deployments, upgrades, and decommissioning efforts

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Field Engineer, Data Centre Technician, or Hardware Support Engineer
• In-depth understanding of rack layouts, cabling methods, and physical infrastructure
• Comfortable working in active data centre settings
• Ability to follow operational runbooks and work independently on site
• Strong communication capabilities and thorough documentation skills
