Role Overview
Savills employs a hybrid IT delivery framework, and this position functions as the key liaison between business teams and technology divisions. The IT Application Manager ensures that business software adequately backs Savills Singapore's operational and strategic goals. Serving as the resident Subject Matter Expert (SME), responsibilities include managing application needs, encouraging user engagement, providing application support, and overseeing system enhancements that add business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage as the principal contact for application-related inquiries from the Singapore business unit.
- Establish and sustain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, acting as a reliable advisor regarding software capabilities and solutions.
- Collect and analyze business requirements to transform them into actionable enhancement initiatives.
- Coordinate communications between business users, IT teams, and software vendors to guarantee successful achievement of business goals.
- Maintain expert knowledge of assigned business applications, including their functionality, workflows, data schemas, and associated business processes.
- Ensure software solutions remain aligned with changing operational demands and business requirements.
- Keep application documentation, training materials, and knowledge bases current.
- Offer daily application support to end-users across multiple office locations.
- Organize and execute onboarding sessions, training workshops, and refresher courses to promote adoption and proficiency.
- Respond to and incorporate user feedback to enhance processes and system performance.
- Handle tier-one and tier-two troubleshooting to resolve application issues effectively.
- Diagnose application incidents, including data discrepancies and system faults.
- Escalate unresolved technical challenges to higher-level product teams, vendors, or regional IT units when necessary.
- Manage resolution workflows to minimize disruption to business operations.
- Lead planning and execution of application improvements and new feature rollouts.
- Work collaboratively on prioritizing enhancements based on impact and value to the business.
- Participate actively in testing phases such as user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment activities, and post-implementation support.
- Support processes related to application upgrades, release cycles, and change management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a diploma or bachelor's degree in fields such as Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Have at least five years of professional experience in application support, business system support, or a related discipline.
