Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is integral to advancing HR initiatives, focusing primarily on managing the complete recruitment lifecycle, onboarding processes, HRIS operations, and employee benefits administration. This position supports attracting, hiring, and retaining skilled personnel while assisting employees with HR-related concerns, particularly benefits. The role is based at the headquarters in Las Vegas, NV, and candidates familiar with HR generalist responsibilities in Utah and Nevada are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to oversee end-to-end recruitment including job advertisement, candidate sourcing, interviews, assessments, reference checks, and offer extensions.
- Coordinate onboarding activities such as offer letter preparation, background checks, orientation sessions, and new employee integration.
- Manage the HRIS system to keep precise employee records, generate relevant reports, monitor employee information, and optimize HR processes.
- Administer employee benefits programs encompassing health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other company benefits.
- Lead the annual open enrollment by communicating with staff, distributing educational materials, addressing questions, and ensuring accurate benefit enrollment.
- Maintain adherence to benefits-related regulations including ACA, COBRA, and similar laws.
- Offer guidance and timely support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits matters.
- Assist in executing performance management activities such as goal formulation, performance evaluations, and development plans.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and implement company HR policies effectively.
- Work alongside the Director of HR to identify training gaps and help organize educational programs or workshops to enhance employee capabilities.
- Contribute to HR projects like employee engagement, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and organizational growth efforts.
Applicant Criteria
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, preferably with exposure to behavioral health operations.
- Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree focused on human resources or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications such as PHR or SHRM are strongly favored.
- Exhibits a positive and collaborative attitude, adaptability, and professionalism in a dynamic setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Proven ability to collaborate within teams.
- Thorough knowledge of HR policies and procedures and ability to handle confidential information with care.
- Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
