About the Role
Scania's East Adriatic Region (EAR) is seeking an experienced and driven Head of Procurement to spearhead the design and execution of procurement strategies aligning with our business goals. The successful candidate will foster continuous enhancements and deliver effective support by managing suppliers, costs, and stakeholders efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Lead sourcing and purchasing operations, maintaining robust procurement processes and governance.
- Develop comprehensive procurement plans.
- Build and sustain partnerships with strategic suppliers and lead sourcing projects.
- Conduct market trend monitoring, cost analysis, benchmarking, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Manage, inspire, and develop the procurement team.
- Establish, track, and analyze KPIs and business outcomes, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure full compliance with Scania’s policies, procedures, and principles as per the Scania Way.
Candidate Profile
- University degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum five years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or equivalent business areas.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, ideally within B2B or industrial sectors.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical capabilities.
- Experience handling both internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Demonstrates high integrity, results focus, and change leadership abilities.
- International work environment exposure is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is considered a bonus.
