Overview
This opportunity is offered through a client of Weekday AI, located in Delhi NCR (Delhi, Gurugram, Noida). We are looking for a seasoned Head of Operations to oversee the complete delivery process for large-scale MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), corporate events, and experiential marketing projects. The role demands leadership over operations, production, and client services to ensure flawless execution, superior client satisfaction, and robust financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of various corporate and MICE events including conferences, brand activations, and exhibitions.
- Manage all production aspects such as fabrication, staging, audiovisual set-up, technical production, logistics management, and vendor coordination.
- Create and enforce standardized operating procedures, timelines, and quality controls for all projects.
- Oversee budgets, control delivery expenses, and maintain operational profitability without compromising quality.
- Develop strong vendor and supplier relationships to optimize costs and ensure consistent project execution.
- Identify potential risks in projects and implement effective mitigation strategies proactively.
- Act as the primary senior contact for key clients, sustaining excellent client relations and satisfaction.
- Convert client requirements into comprehensive, executable plans by working closely with creative, production, and operations teams.
- Assist business development through proposal input, project planning, and commercial negotiations.
- Handle client issues promptly and resolve operational challenges during project lifecycles.
- Champion client retention through exemplary service and successful project outcomes.
- Guide execution of domestic and international meetings, incentives, conferences, and corporate events, coordinating travel, hospitality, venues, and logistics.
- Collaborate with destination management companies, hotels, airlines, and other partners for smooth event delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing teams across operations, production, and client servicing.
- Optimize resource allocation across simultaneous projects to uphold quality and timelines.
- Promote a culture emphasizing accountability, cooperation, operational efficiency, and continuous enhancement.
- Drive initiatives focused on streamlining processes to improve scalability and service standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Event Management, or a related discipline.
- 10 to 15+ years experience in MICE, events, experiential marketing, or event management sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership of operations, production, or client servicing in large-scale corporate or experiential events.
- Expertise in project planning, event production, logistics, budgeting, and operational implementation.
- Proven capability in P&L management, budgeting oversight, vendor negotiation, and cost efficiency.
- Strong client relationship management and effective communication skills with stakeholders.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in dynamic, deadline-sensitive settings.
- Willingness to travel extensively with on-site leadership during events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing both domestic and international MICE initiatives.
- Established network of vendors, venues, hospitality, and production partners.
- Background in experiential marketing, exhibitions, conferences, or corporate events.
- Advanced degrees or professional certifications in Event Management, Hospitality, or an MBA is advantageous.
Compensation & Location
The salary is competitive, ranging from INR 1,200,000 to INR 2,000,000 annually. The position is based in the Delhi NCR region and requires full-time onsite presence.
