Overview

Join ServiceMaster Clean of Canada in Windsor, Ontario, as a Groundskeeper and Handyman tasked with maintaining commercial client sites. This role offers responsibility for directing coworkers while managing various general service functions including grounds maintenance, equipment upkeep, and minor repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review daily work orders, coordinating with associates involved and confirming task details before execution.
• Verify routing for job sites and inspect equipment and materials to ensure readiness and proper working condition before deployment.
• Record usage of materials and equipment accurately on work orders and submit requisitions weekly for required supplies.
• Complete jobs reliably to the specifications provided with customer satisfaction as a priority.
• Provide training and support to Crew Helpers and Technicians to meet company quality standards.
• Perform grounds upkeep including cutting and trimming under supervisory direction.
• Set up and dismantle events safely, carry out assigned cleaning and minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs and troubleshooting equipment.
• Maintain professional conduct and foster positive workplace relationships.
• Adhere strictly to company safety and workplace policies throughout daily operations.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned to support business needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum two years of experience in grounds or handyman services; commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• High school diploma is required.
• Capability in managing multiple priorities effectively, with strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ethical work behavior.
• Proficiency with vacuum cleaners, dust-aids, and other portable cleaning and maintenance tools.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, customer service focus, and adaptability.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Physical and Working Conditions

This position involves considerable physical exertion with moderate sensory effort in a low-risk setting regarding environmental hazards.
