Job Overview
The Graduate Process Engineer role is designed to provide support across multiple manufacturing and project activities, ensuring adherence to company standards, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is based in Buckingham, Western Australia, and requires on-site presence.
Key Duties
- Maintain alignment of all processes and procedures with the company’s Business Management System (BMS).
- Uphold quality assurance to meet specified customer requirements.
- Develop and enhance existing processes and methodologies for improved efficiency.
- Promote continuous improvement concepts and practices within the operational framework.
- Manage critical process documentation effectively.
- Assist in developing processes for new product introductions if necessary.
- Identify productivity enhancement opportunities, formulate detailed improvement plans, and implement changes.
- Prepare business cases justifying new equipment acquisitions aimed at enhancing productivity.
- Reduce costs through improvements in methods, tools, and materials used.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering to investigate defects and provide root cause analysis and solutions.
- Monitor production performance to ensure targets are achieved and work towards minimizing reject rates within acceptable limits.
- Participate actively in Continuous Improvement (CI) teams across all manufacturing functions.
Project Support Responsibilities
- Assist with Design for Manufacture activities throughout project phases as required.
- Conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
- Perform detailed reviews of individual parts contributing to tooling documentation (CTS).
- Support project development initiatives and take leadership roles during Pre-Series builds where applicable.
- Provide ongoing manufacturing support until project closure (Phase 7).

All tasks must comply with Wipac’s policies relating to Health and Safety, Environmental standards, and 5S workplace organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a degree in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering.
- Competence in process control techniques and their practical application.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams.
- Proficiency in computer use and related software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
